LINCOLN (CBS) – In this digital age, where can we unplug and commune with nature?

Drumlin Farm in Lincoln is a great option.

It’s a wildlife sanctuary, a working farm, a Community Supported Agriculture location and even has a preschool where kids can plant crops and take care of animals.

This year Drumlin, owned and operated by the Massachusetts Audubon Society, is celebrating its 60th anniversary.

“We’re getting people out into the natural world and it’s having an effect that can last a lifetime,” Henry Tepper, the president of Mass Audubon told WBZ-TV.

Flavio Sutti, the farm’s Wildlife Coordinator, showed WBZ some of the wild animals that were brought to Drumlin for rehabilitation after injury.

Some of the animals include owls, hawks, opossums, foxes and vultures.

These creatures are all unable to go back into the wild so they are used as teaching tools. Some of them are brought into local schools.
